2-Day Intensive: Making Improvisation More Playful and Meaningful with Rebecca Stockley and William Hall (#08-1763)

Making Improvisation More Playful and Meaningful: What we've learned from Keith Johnstone and lives in improv!

      Class Time/Dates:
10am-5pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 13 and 14

      Schedule: 2 day-long sessions
      Class size: 14 students maximum
Class length: 6 hours of instruction each day; 12 hours total
      Prerequisite: None

Two days of improvisation games, experiences, stories, and scenes. Reveal the contents of your imagination, co-create stories, and play, play, play.

Take this workshop if you are new to improvisation: Do you feel the pull of creativity and want to find ways to unleash your own ideas and playfulness? Begin by getting grounded in practical concepts of improvisation; connect with yourself, your partners, and your audience.

Take this if you are a veteran performer:  Get beyond the laugh and tap into the deeper stories that are revealed when you listen to your inner self.

Take this workshop if you are teaching:  Experience new ways to frame and debrief activities for clarity.

Taught by two of the founders of BATS Improv, William Hall and Rebecca Stockley, who share many insights and revelations of years (blush) of study, teaching and performance.  Keith Johnstone is one of the few internationally recognized authorities in the field of improvisation, great chunks of which he created. Keith invented Theatresports™, as well as Micetro Impro© (or Maestro©  Impro), Gorilla Theatre™, and The Life Game©. Keith has written two best selling books about his Theatre and Improvisation theories and practices, in addition to several plays.
