      Cultivating the "It" Factor: How to Put Sponsorship to Work for Women

      Despite the heightened dialogue and diversity initiatives around workplace equality over the past decade, women are still not breaking into the top executive ranks. According to the Center for Talent Innovation, these top jobs often elude women and professionals of color because they lack “executive presence,” or underestimate its importance. To overcome everyday micro-inequities and biases that act as barriers to advancement, women need the powerful advocacy and feedback mechanism that comes from sponsorship.
