This event has been marked mature level 1 due to the following, "pots".
In honor of the momentous anniversary of the 20th Annual Botanical Art Exhibition, we will also be displaying the entire Filoli Florilegium in the historic House. The purpose of the Florilegium is to document the plant materials of Filoli within a historic perspective, using traditional methods of botanical illustration. We encourage you to take a stroll through the House during your next spring visit and see the ever-growing Filoli Florilegium for yourself.
Jim Salyards, Head of Horticulture at Filoli, paints the coming of spring as “a reawakening that feeds our soul . . . The spring beds and display pots have been planted and now we await the beauty. Some of the highlights include the Sunken Garden with over 4,000 ‘Dordogne’ tulips, the Dining Room Terrace ‘Lily-Flowered Mix’, a blue hyacinth mix in the West Reception beds, and a pink hyacinth mix in the Bell Beds. We’ll be repeating the mix of tulips in the Dutch Garden again and an enhanced River of Tulips in the Perennial Border.”
Celebrate the abundance of spring flowers at Filoli’s magnificent historic Garden and breathe deeply for a taste of the season to come!
