      EVENT DETAILS
Humanities West Book Discussion: Verdi – His Music, Life and Times (MLF)

      By George Martin

Join us to discuss the life of composer Giuseppe Verdi, from his birth in 1813 to his death in 1901. Though Verdi's life was steeped in music, his work was also fundamental to the political reunification of Italy known as the Risorgimento. George Martin's biography covers both the music Verdi created and the culture of the times he influenced. The discussion will be led by Lynn Harris.
