Join Peter Englander of The Englander Building Company and Francis Gough from Francis Gough Architect Inc for a lecture about  the successful development of Old Mill Cottages in Mill Valley.  Recently recognized in Builder Magazine as an example of “infill done right” Peter will share with you the lessons learned in creating an infill community.

      Old Mill Cottages

Zoned for four residences, the sale of the 50 foot by 130 foot lot initially raised concerns. Working with Francis Gough Architect, and incorporating input from the neighbors, the team redesigned the infill project to work in conjunction with the setting, creating a community that includes gardens and rear yard-accessed parking, and homes in the local Shingle-style vernacular with a connection to the street ultimately creating a community of (3) three-bedroom, 1,500 square-foot cottages and (1) one-bedroom, 500 square-foot affordable unit.
