Willpowered Woman focuses on empowering women. We educate the public to prevent intimate partner abuse and support women who have been affected. Are you wanting to make the most of the money you make by learning how to spend smart and save to feel abundant? Want to master your retirement, investments and more? Want to learn about cryptocurrency? If you're living or working in San Francisco and want to learn how to be your most financially empowered self then this event is for you! Through this panel, you will be able to see how, even a small amount, self-generated money can empower you. Having money means having the freedom of picking options, making a choice — and choice is power. Economic empowerment will give you the capacity to recognize the value of your own contributions. It also opens doors to more opportunities (employment, skills development, ownership...) Panelists include Caitlin D'Aprano, CEO & Founder of Willpowered Woman, Molly Newborn, Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley & Alex Napheys, Founder of Block Chain Consulting Group. Caitlin D'Aprano is a serial entrepreneur who has always had an interest in personal finances and has run a total of five businesses. In her first business, Caitlin built her clientele from 0 to 50 in the first four months. She has always had a sensible approach to money and wants to share that with you. Would you like to learn the art of negotiation? Caitlin believes that no matter what, you should always negotiate. Would you like to set a vision for where you want to be with your personal finances? Caitlin will brifely cover this because she knows it's possible for you! Do you know the tricks to saving money? Caitlin will share her tips. At the age of 19, she had $10k saved. Do you still want to be able to spend your money and feel abundant? Caitlin will go over that and more including credit scores and empowerment in finances when in relationships! Molly has an interesting and distinctive background. She worked for several years as a research scientist in cellular and molecular neurobiology at UCLA. The global financial crisis of 2008 fueled her desire to study the financial markets and develop an understanding of responsible and comprehensive financial planning. Molly completed an MBA specializing in Investment Management at McGill University in Montreal. She worked in institutional investments at Deutsche Asset Management and as a biotech investment consultant for a hedge fund prior to embarking on a career as a Financial Advisor. She is a dual citizen of the US and Canada. Quick facts on intimate partner abuse: Intimate partner abuse affects 12 million people each year in the US alone: learn the signs and ways to get self-empowered in your life through Willpowered Woman! Women aged 18 to 34 experience the highest rates of intimate partner abuse, yet they are the most underserved demographic. In 98% of intimate partner abuse cases, the partner controls finances so a woman is trapped in the relationship. Prevent financial abuse by always having an emergency stash of money, keeping bank accounts separate and having each partner take care of their own financial needs. Abuse can come in many forms and is not only physical, it can be emotional and spiritual and the long-term effects of these are just as detrimental. Forced pregnancy happens to 1 in 4 women in abusive relationships. Signs of forced pregnancy can be anything from rape to sabotaging birth control to your partner telling you that you don’t love them if you don’t want to have a baby with them.
