      About the ServSafe® Food Safety Manager Class
          This ServSafe® Food Safety Manager lecture and presentation is designed for executive managers with supervisory responsibilities in the food industry.  The presentation is based on the ServSafe® 6th Edition Manager Book.  Learn about foodborne illness, how to prevent it and how to train employees in food safety and sanitation.  Earn the nationally accredited food safety certification from the National Restaurant Association.  The topics covered in this presentation are personal hygiene, food borne illness, receiving, storage, preparing, serving food, and food safety regulations. Includes updates in the FDA food code and meets regulatory requirements for the State of California. The ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification exam is accredited by American National Standards Institute-(ANSI) Conference for Food Protection-(CFP) and is proctored by a registered ServSafe® Examination Proctor.  Examinees who pass with a score of 75% earn the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification, valid for 5 years.  Training and exam format are a live class setting with the exam taken online and results available immediately.  Presentation and Exam Language: English only.

      Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

      Please bring your Valid ID, the Instructor and the Proctor will need to look at it at the time of entry and before the test. 

      What are the tranportation / parking option getting to the event?

       Please take public tansportation. Test site is 4 convenient walking blocks from Montgomery or Powell BART Sta's.

      What do I need to bring to the event?

       Certification examinations are taken online.  Bring your WiFi ready PC, MAC, iPad or Mobile Tablet Device.  

      Do I need to buy an online exam voucher?

       No. it is included with your complete registration.

      What if I have an online exam voucher?

      You can save $17.50 by entering promotional code: myexamcode. Please don't use this promotional code if you don't already have a voucher. Because the voucher is included with the correct ticket price, the cost for the proctor to provide a voucher onsite is $72.

      Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

      Yes. You must inform the organizer you would like to make a change.

      Can I update my registration information?

      Yes.  Please provide all the information requested at the time of registration, if you can not you must inform the organizer you would like to make a change. 

      Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

      No. Your printed ticket contains other printed information, terms and conditions.Please read it.

      What is the refund policy?  Sorry, no refunds. 

      The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

      No, The person attending needs to be named on the registration ticket.  The registration is for the attendee who needs to take the exam. The Examination Proctor validates identity of all examinees.

      What happens if I need to change or cancel ?

      Once you are registered you may change or cancel anytime. You may appear at the time you registered or any other posted time Exam Lab is in session with or without prior arrangement within 60days of your purchase. Contact the organizer. support@pillarsoffood.com

      What happens if I fail?

      You are allowed 3 attempts and we give you options after the first attempt. Register to retake the exam right away with the promocode found on your printed ticket. With registration for your retake exam you will receive the book, if not included in a prior purchase and additional training material administered by Pillars of Food Safety.  Together with your proctor, you will look at your strengths and weakness in the areas of the exam where you scored low.  Your Instructor will advise you with the training you need before your second or third attempt. Your third attempt may not commence for 30 days following your second attempt, and successfull completion of prerequiste training will be required before your second or third attempt.  If you do not pass within three attempts, one may not attempt the exam until 1 year has lapsed from the time of the third attempt.

      A look at cost.

      The Class with Online Exam Session only $139.

      The Class with Online Exam Session with the book and all training material is $244.91. with  promocode " allyouneed "

      The Class with Online Exam Session with the online course $265.44

      If you fail, One must register for another  Class with Online Exam Session and it will cost $143.47 to retake another online exam session.

      It will cost $282.47 for the individual who attempts the exam without training, fails and retakes. $143.47 for the first attempt plus$143.47 for the second attempt equals $286.94. The difference in cost when compared to the online exam session with the book and all training material using promocode " allyouneed" = $42.03

      The answer to the question " what if I fail?" It will cost $143.47 to retake, an additional $42.03, just to obtain the training necessary to pass before you can retake your second attempt.

      What does this mean? Save $42.03 up front. use promocode "allyouneed" and get the book with the exam session and training material for $244.91.  Be prepared to pass on your first attempt.
