SF/Marin ACNL July Chapter Meeting featuring Dr. Scott Reeves, PhD

After a short hiatus, the SF/Marin Chapter of the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) is back and excited to host Dr. Scott Reeves, PhD as our featured speaker for the July Monthly Chapter Meeting.

In a talk titled, "Interprofessional interaction and collaboration in acute care- what is the role of the doctor-nurse game?", Dr. Reeves will present key findings from a synthesis of qualitative studies of interprofessional collaboration undertaken in a number of countries over the past 15 years. Focusing on nurse-doctor interactions, the talk will explore how these findings resonate with Leonard Stein's Doctor-Nurse Game, which was initially developed in the late 1960s. Implications for current interprofessional collaboration and education will also be discussed.

In the spirit of building up our nurse leader network, a 2-for-1 meeting deal will be in effect. Any individual who brings another nurse leader to the meeting will only be charged $35 for the two attendees.

Even more exciting and in the spirit of interprofessional collaboration, for any individual who brings a physician colleague to the meeting, the meeting fee will be waived for the pair. A free night of networking, delicious food, and a great lecture!
