      MUSICIANS

      Tina Malia

Tina Malia’s prodigious talent spans musical genres of pop, world and electronic. Her own catalog is complemented by studio and live work with iconic artists Bonnie Raitt, India.Arie, Bassnectar, Jai Uttal and Kenny Loggins.

Creativity and diversity are her very lifeblood. Of Korean and Yugoslavian descent, Tina was tutored in classical piano and voice by her mother. Her dad fostered her interest in guitar, as she discovered folk and popular music influences like Joni Mitchell, Bjork, Sade, Loreena McKennitt and Alison Krauss.

Tina’s self-produced debut, “Shores of Avalon,” steeped in poetic Celtic and world instrumentation, signified the arrival of a major new talent. “Jaya Bhagavan” is a highly original fusion of world instruments and global beats with Sanskrit vocals. “The Silent Awakening” infuses compelling lyricism with pop sensibilities. Critics praise her new masterpiece “The Lost Frontier” as “superb, alluring, powerful, soulful.”
