      Start Something Good

There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting. - Buddha

If you want to start something that matters, you need to know where to begin.

WHY THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU:

      - You're ready to make a difference in the world. Whether by starting your own organization, a start-up business, or even a project within your current job.

      - You want to love your work and live your life with meaning.

      - You want to learn about various models for success to share with your colleagues, children, or members of your community.

Four years ago, I launched Groundwork Opportunities (GO) with a meager $2,000 investment that blossomed into a $1.9M organization. From spectacular failures to succeeding beyond expectations,  I want to share the lessons I have learned along the way to help you start something that matters.

This class will present key steps to create or transform your life or business by:

      • Discovering your core story
      • Being resourceful without resources
      • Overcoming fear and doubt
      • Leveraging simple and free online tools
      • Building effective governance structures
      • Mastering the art of self promotion
      • Incorporating giving into your everyday life

In addition to all published course-work, all attendees will receive templates to take home to begin their life-long projects and complimentary follow-up one:one coaching to ensure that you have the tools you need to grow a simple idea into something larger than you could have ever expected.

A complimentary dinner, including coffee & tea will be provided.

      about the idealist

Bartlomiej Jan Skorupa is the co-founder and Executive Director of Groundwork Opportunities (GO). He holds a BA in Finance from the University of Illinois and has 8 years working experience in management, strategy, and IT consulting. Working in various industries, Bartlomiej held numerous management positions in 10+ Fortune 500 companies implementing efficient business practices in the USA and Europe. After a tragic yet revelational trip to Africa five years ago, Bartlomiej started GO to help create a world beyond poverty by investing in groundbreaking ideas, empowering local leaders, and engaging communities. GO's work has been published in Men's Journal, Business Week, National Public Radio, On Investing, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Huffington Post, Media Roots, and Good Magazine.

When not working directly with tomorrow’s change-makers, Bartlomiej finds inspiration by simply reflecting on the glory of just being alive, right here, right now.

      kind words

'Bart is one of those energies you come by once in a lifetime – something so positive you have to question its existence. When he decided to provide the Start Something Good classes I was overjoyed that I didn’t have to be covert anymore. I could finally pick the fruit I was quietly hunting for years. He has a contagious energy and a brilliant mind – if there is every a tree of life you want to pick from, learn from, grow from – it’s this one – Bartlomiej Skorupa. If you’re looking to Start Something Good – start by meeting this man – you won’t regret it.'
