      Street Tree Care Class

      The Street Tree Care class offered by San Francisco Public Works will review the benefits of trees, the benefits of proper tree pruning conducted by qualified arborists and StreetTreeSF, the citywide street tree maintenance program. The class will cover the Urban Forest Plan to help San Francisco grow its green canopy (its urban forest) and how StreetTreeSF supports that plan as an efficient and cost-effective system to routinely and proactively maintain street trees. Ensuring that San Francisco’s trees receive the best care possible helps make the City greener, healthier and safer. The Street Tree Care class is $197.00. In order to be admitted into the class, you must bring with you to the class exact cash or a check made out to San Francisco Public Works' Adopt-A-Tree fund. Please bring the following with you to the class: Your Eventbrite confirmation The Resulting Decision letter Payment in exact cash or check  Check-in with security at the front desk in the lobby of the building. Let them know you are there for the Public Works Street Tree Care class. Security will open the door to the Public Works area on the first floor to let you in. There is no dedicated parking lot so please allow additional time to find street parking. Arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time to check in and to ensure a prompt start and end time. All citation fines and fees will be deposited directly into the San Francisco adopt-a-tree fund. Contributions to the adopt-a-tree fund will provide additional funding for the growth and maintenance of San Francisco’s urban forest. The contributions will be allocated for staff at the San Francisco Public Works’ Bureau of Urban Forestry and the nonprofit Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF) to purchase new street trees, landscaping materials and other maintenance equipment.
