Ever wondered what the government knows about you? Have you ever wanted to know why an agency made a decision or rule you don’t think is right? Under the Freedom of Information Act, everyone has a right to know what federal agencies know. On Friday October 18, we’ll have a workshop to explore what types of information you can get from federal agencies and how to go about asking for it. Nate Cardozo, Staff Attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation will walk us through what information is available and how to make a request to get that information. He’ll talk through the realities and what to do if the agency fails to follow the law. Presented by UC Hastings Chapter of the American Constitution Society. Lunch will be served!
