San Francisco – The third recital in LIEDER ALIVE!’s second annual Liederabend Series features acclaimed bass Kirk Eichelberger and pianist Simona Snitkovskaya in an evening of Lieder that takes listeners “on the road” and into the very depths of Mr. Eichelberger’s richly-hued velvet bass. A commanding performer of both opera and Lieder, the New York-based vocalist has been praised for “commanding the stage at every turn” (San Francisco Chronicle) and for his “resonant bass and riveting stage presence” (Dayton City Paper.) For his Liederabend recital, Mr. Eichelberger will present a program that includes Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a Wayfarer) and a selection of Lieder by Brahms. Pianist Simona Snitkovskaya, an accomplished collaborative musician and Russian opera coach with Opera San Jose, joins Mr. Eichelberger in the recital.  The recital will take place at The Music Salon at Salle Pianos – an intimate and convivial performance space perfectly suited to the tradition of Liederabend – located in the City’s lively Performing Arts District.  The program will be followed by a reception with the artists.
