      Michael Dear, Professor of City and Regional Planning, University of California, Berkeley 

      Dear has logged nearly 10,000 miles traversing the entire length of the U.S.-Mexico border on both sides. Come hear his views on the challenges confronting the borderlands, with insights into bi-national geopolitics, the prospects for immigration reform in the U.S., and the problems confronting Mexico’s emerging democracy.
