      Finding Evidence: the realities of crime-scene analysis and using genetic data bases to catch criminals A day-long workshop helping writers distinguish between gritty reality and the myths of made-for-Hollywood CSI.   Julie Jaecksch worked as a crime scene investigator for the Oakland Police Department for more than 20 years, responding to crime scenes of all kinds; burglaries, assaults, robberies, sexual assaults, headline making murders and officer involved shootings.  Assistant DA Micheal O’Connor has tried over 75 criminal cases. Among his specialties are complex legal motions, felony charging and fourth amendment issues. He serves as an advisor in complex felony trials and police investigations.
