      Undocumented: Great Lakes Poets Laureate on Social Justice co-editor Ron Riekki hosts an event featuring California Poets Laureate reading both their own works and poems from Undocumented to bridge Poets Laureate from the Third Coast to West Coast. Poets will be:Cynthia Bryant, Pleasanton Poet Laureate 2005-2007, 2011-2013Amy Glynn, Orinda and Lafayette Poet Laureate 2018-PresentSarah Kobrinsky, Emeryville Poet Laureate 2013-2015Maw Shein Win, El Cerrito Poet Laureate 2016-2018Kim Shuck, San Francisco Poet Laureate 2017-PresentHosted by Ron RiekkiCynthia Bryant served as the Poet Laureate of Pleasanton, CA from 2005 to 2007, and again from 2011 to 2013. Her poetry collections include Sojourn, Pebbles in the Shoe as well as No Time to Shoot the Poets.Amy Glynn is the author of A Modern Herbal (Measure Press, 2013). She has earned degrees from Mount Holyoke College and Lancaster University and is the recipient of a fellowship from the James Merrill House. She lives in Lafayette, California.Sarah Kobrinsky was the 2013-2015 Poet Laureate of Emeryville, CA. Her collection, Nighttime on the Other Side of Everything, is forthcoming by New Rivers Press. She was born in Canada, raised in North Dakota, seasoned in England, and tempered in California. Maw Shein Win is a Burmese-American poet and educator who lives and works in the Bay Area. She is the first poet laureate of El Cerrito, CA. She is the author of the chapbook Score and Bone, and the full-length collection Invisible Gifts. Her second full-length poetry collection will be published by Omnidawn in 2020. Kim Shuck is the current and seventh Poet Laureate of San Francisco and a 2019 National Laureate Fellow. Her latest books are Murdered Missing and Deer Tails. Kim was born and raised in San Francisco but has deep ties to North Eastern Oklahoma. She is known for her beadwork, poetry, and hats. Ron Riekki is an award-winning poet, novelist, and playwright. Most recently, he co-edited Undocumented: Great Lakes Poets Laureate on Social Justice. He also wrote U.P.: a novel, and has edited multiple anthologies of new writing from the Midwest.
