      Join us for a 30th Anniversary screening of this groundbreaking film that redefined the expression of Black gay culture in media. This group rate is half-off the regular museum pricing and includes the special exhibit Queer California: Untold Stories. Marlon Riggs’ award-winning film features poetry, personal testimony, rap and performance (including poet Essex Hemphill and others) to describe the homophobia and racism that confront Black gay men. “My struggle has allowed me to transcend that sense of shame and stigma identified with my being a black gay man.
