In the mid 1900s psychedelics such as LSD and MDMA were developed as pharmaceuticals. From the late 1960s on these drugs became associated with recreational use and by the 1980s most nations had outlawed them. Here in the Bay Area we have many scientists and clinicians on the forefront of the movement to bring these chemicals out of the clubs and counter-culture to explore their potential to treat a number of mental health conditions, including addiction and PTSD.   Join us for a free panel discussion on the current cultural, regulatory, and medical landscapes around these substances.   Featuring:   Prof. David Presti, PhD, UC Berkeley Department of Molecular and Cell Biology and author of Mind Beyond Brain: Buddhism, Science, and the Paranormal   Ayelet Waldman, author of A Really Good Day: How Microdosing Made a Mega Difference in My Mood, My Marriage, and My Life   Brad Burge, Director of Strategic Communications at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS)   Genesee Herzberg, PsyD, Psychologist at Sage Integrative Health   Moderated by Peter Leyden, Founder and CEO of Reinvent
